DJ Emissary
P.S. You may see most similar sites posting and noting which songs r *HOT*, well, DJ Emissary’s metikuluss song choice means dat every song u see is HOT, meaning der is no need to say which one is hot or not. Nuff talking on to di music.
DJ Emissary is not the kind of Selecta who goes around just choosing music 4 the sake of Artist's reputation, what record label it came from, airplay (especially), or even just coz the “name of the song sounds cool”.
DJ Emissary has a simple motto that he lives n vouches by when hand picking his music, that being;
“a tune speaks 4 itself”
As simple as this may sound, simply putting it into practice requires true dedication n continuous puffection. Many of you may be thinking “That’s general knowledge everyone knows that, who’s this guy kidding”, well, all I can say to you is, just listen to the tunes n ENJOY

HOW TO USE SITE:
Please read forum site link HOW TO USE SITE - Forum Page
Keep ploughing through those blazin tunes people, they’re there for the taking!
Just a few announcements, now I know there are a lot of links not working in some of the older posts, i’ve gone through most of them and the following have broken links:
- Blazin Tunes 4
- Wining Music 10
- Wining Music 9
- Roots Reggae 5
If there are any other posts you are aware of that links aren’t working, or even individual songs, please do drop me a line, it will be much appreciated.
This is just to let you know that I will be doing my best in the coming few days to fix everything up and make the links work, haven’t had a lot of time for the site lately as you can see but nevertheless I will make this a priority.
Secondly, I would like to announce that myself and DJ Wolf from Zambia are currently working on a unique concept - a Best of Both Worlds Mixtape - Zambia meets Seychelles. We will be featuring some of the classics from both countries and our ultimate goal is to bring you an unheard mix of musical selections, so watch out for that, it will be posted under World Music when we finish it.

You must be wondering where the fuck i’ve been? Well I wasn’t able to come up with this post last saturday coz I found out I hard more work to do for university so that’s been holding me back all week.
Suffice it to say that Messenjah Sounds is a different site, it’s not just somewhere you come to get the hottest and latest in a range of genres, but more than that, it’s an experience. It’s somewhere where editorial content is highly valued and you get to know more about the music you are listening to. I will never do a post where I simply list the songs and dont say anything at all about them, because I love music and I love talking about music, and that’s only one of the ways (apart from DJ-ing) that I convey my passion for it, by telling you how i’m feeling, coz surely enough, you will probably be feeling the same way.
Anyway apologies that this post took so long, the only upside to not having been able to do it is that I kept getting a lot of new shit, some tracks I only just added like right now and others i’ve had for over a month, fucked up i know. I think there’s about 110 tracks in all, so in a way the wait was worth it, coz this post is exclusively dancehall, nothing else, ONLY NEW URBAN DANCEHALL. As usual, with this many songs in a post, had to do separate playlists, so check out the contents for easier navigation:
CONTENTS:
Starting off with Vybez Kartel, just when we thought the war of words between him and Mavado was over, they’re at it again, was even able to get a mash-up between dem two called Broad Daylight Klash, here it is:
Vybz Kartel Vs. Mavado - Broad Day Light Klash (Mexicanye Remix)
Then there’s this one too, another counteraction:
Vybz Kartel - Nuh Batty Ting Counteraction
Kartel is perhaps the busiest artist in Jamaica, he keeps pumping out tunes on frankly every single riddim that comes out, here are 2 really good ones out of them all;
Vybz Kartel - Million By A Morning
Vybz Kartel Feat. Jah Vinchi - Weh Dem A Go
Vybez Kartel - Keep It Clean
And the other 2 picks from him:
Vybez Kartel - Fuck Anyweh
Vybz Kartel - What A Bwoy Can Chat
Well well, now, this guy has some real fresh joints, and lemme tell you this, I bin waiting for someone to come up with a counteraction for Take A Bow (apart from Ne-Yo’s attempt), coz personally the tone in the Rihanna’s lyrics is just too “up there”, like I know she’s smokin hot and yadi yadi yada but to the point that you become that arrogant and sarcastic? Sarcasm sells of course, and that’s what the mainstream wants or is drawn to nowadays, but quite frankly, it’s feeble. Thank you again Edley Shine for this great reversal:
Edley Shine Ft. Bolo - Round Of Applause (Rihanna Counteraction)
Away from that now and onto the real reason why this guy is good, his dancehall, check out this one first:
Edley Shine - Bashment Girl Refix
Then this one, in my opinion the second best tune on the Unfinished business riddim (after Play It Straight by Serani of course):
Edley Shine - Try No Go Round It
Two more RnB adaptations from him, the amazing Addiction by Ryan Leslie, remixed and re-hashed dancehall style by Edley himself;
Edley Shine Ft. Ryan Leslie Cassie and Fabolous - Addiction (Bandulu Mix)
and finally Don’t You Hate Me
Well since we finished Edley Shine off with some RnB stuff, might as well finish with the hip hop and other tracks, check this out:

Hot new shit by Pitbull and Lil Jon, doing a tune on the same beat as a very popular house song that plays INCESSANTLY in the night clubs here in Australia, Cream by Federico Franchi, anyway this track is called

Kardinal Offishall going back to his original style and bringing us some really premium dancehall with this song:
Kardinal Offishall Feat. Lindo P - Burnt
And Sean Paul also jumped on the Remix bandwagon, but this is actually the Official remix of Dangerous, with Kardi adding in a few new verses, but nevertheless I still love the soca remix more, COZ I CAN ACTUALLY DANCE TO IT;
Kardinal Offishall Ft Akon and Sean Paul - Dangerous (Remix)
A Dancehall remix of a Madonna song:
Madonna - Give It 2 Me (Sly Robbie Ft. Cherine Anderson DanceHall Remix)
Some more highlights from Daddy Yankee’s album, that fit into the Blazing category:
Daddy Yankee - K-Dela
Daddy Yankee - Ten Pacencia Feat. Thalia Official Remix
Lemme talk a bit about “A Millie”. To tell you di truth, I dont know why people are so hung up over this song when “A Millie” is repeated for the WHOLE of the track (u people know i’m not a fan of songs that repeat the same the same thing over and over again, the “pinnacle” of commercialisation). But anyway, u can’t even dance to it, u can’t even BRUCK OUT to it, seriously. Just coz it “sounds cool”, tsk tsk, time for people to start upgrading their taste in music and start asking themselves why the hell they’re listening to this kind of crap, fo real. Anyway, I have come across a shit load of remixes of that song, every time listening to them trying to bring you people at least a decent one, but they all faltered until I came across this one, so enjoy, it’s off the official “A Millie Riddim”, YES, they had 2 make a riddim out of it for it to at least be decent, sounds like something Leftside & Esco would make if you ask me:
Rock City - Ah Millie (Jus Bus and Bambino Remix)
As if the good remixes dont stop, FINALLY came across a good remix of Low - Flo Rida, another song that tops my “BIG NO NO songs to play” list, it’s the Vinyl Shotz adaptation:
Vinyl Shotz Feat. Flo Rida and Ice Cold - Wiggle And Crawl Down Low (Remix)
Here are two BLAZING RnB songs:
Infinite - Out Of My Mind (Dj Casanova Remix)
Ryan Tedder - Boy Like That
Found this absolutely massive medley, 3 tracks, all mixed into one, one advice before you download it, I tested it out myself, and when the dialog box comes up, the song name is too long and gets cut, so at the end of the filename in the dialog box, just add “.mp3″ so that it works when u finish getting it:
Rodion Vs. Crookers Vs. Humbert Humbert Vs. Kaos Vs. Gwen Stefani Vs. Pharrell Vs. C n C Music Factory - Elektrik Soca Vs. Yummy Vs. Gonna Make You Sweat [dj Medley Remix]
Here’s some Ghostface Killah and Wu Tang Reggae remixes I got:
Cappadonna Feat. Ghostface Killah - Supermodel (Reggae Remix)
Ghostface Killah Feat. Jadakiss - Run (Reggae Remix)
Wu Tang Clan - Pinky Ring (Reggae Remix)
And a pure dancehall song to close up this section:

Here’s the other tracks from this section:
Mr. Easy - Screw Pan Face
Ricky General - Gone A Lead
Shane-O - If I Did See And Know
The Olympics are over, but there’s still plenty to reflect on what has been one of the most entertaining editions of it to date. From the eye-catching electronic displays that marked both the opening and closing ceremonies, to the brilliance of Michael Phelps and the jaw-dropping power of the man that is Usain Bolt, these Olympics were one to remember. I’ve been really disappointed hearing people say “He must be on drugs”, I completely disagree, I put his success down to firstly very good genes, secondly, an optimum amount of muscle which allows him to fly the way he does (not too much like past winners e.g. Maurice Greene - he was TOO big) and finally the last ingredients being hard training, dedication, inner belief, but most of all, PASSION. If you just look at his eyes and the way he is so focused and hungry to be the best, it clearly explains his amazing achievement. As for those of you who didnt like that he celebrated before he finished the 100m, I think it’s a good strategy, that way he can break the world record AGAIN!
Lemme tell you something funny though, I was watching the 200m final, when Bolt won his second gold medal and as you’ve probably guessed, there’s not much knowledge of dancehall music here in Australia, apart from the international students and migrants that try and promote it. You would hardly expect a television commentator here to know about dancehall too. So anyway, I was watching the final, and when Usain won it, he did the Nuh Linga, I was like HELL YEAH that’s some cool shit right there! Then in the midst of all my housemates talking I caught the commentator saying “Oh he seems to be doing some sort of weird dance as his form of celebration”. I was like “Weird dance?!?!?” you could have at least said “Jamaican dance” but weird dance?, seriously, they clearly didn’t understand, lol.
Elephant Man did a remix of Nuh Linga for that special occasion, dedicating it to the undisputed Sprint King himself, check it out here:
Elephant Man - Nuh Linga (Usain Bolt Version)
In addition, here are another 2 songs commemorating a great performance by Jamaica at the Olympics, one that will go down in the history books for sure, big up to them!

Lyndo Bwoy - Lock Beijing (Tribute To The Athletes)
